The Osgoode Village Community Association Canada Day Committee has been busy planning what it hopes will be another fantastic Canada Day celebration in Osgoode. There will be lots of activities for the entire family to enjoy, including a dog show, children’s activities, fireworks, and more! Come spend July 1st in the Village amongst your family, friends, and neighbours – why go anywhere else?
Door to door canvassing will take place from June 21st to 29th. Donations are for the fireworks, stage shows + children’s activities. We appreciate your help in supporting this community initiative!
FREE CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES (2:00 -5:00 pm)
There will be a ton of free children’s activities, including Inflatable bouncy house and obstacle course, a petting zoo and pony rides sponsored by Raymond’s. Bonnie from Art with Bonnie will be providing free face painting and volunteers will be around with free Tattoos. All activities will take place on the grounds of the Osgoode Community Centre. For purchase: cotton candy, snow cones, concession booths. Children 8-12 years are encouraged to take part in the Foodland Bicycle Decorating Contest Register at Foodland Judging for great prizes will take place at St. Paul’s Anglican Church between 4:30-5:00pm.
The Township of Osgoode Care Centre will once again be hosting a fundraising BBQ on the grounds of the Osgoode Community Centre.
PARADE (5:00 pm)
The Canada Day Parade will depart from Osgoode Main Street at Nixon Drive. Children’s decorated bicycles are welcome to join the floats, local groups, live band, and more!
LIVE ENTERTAINMENT (6:00pm – 9:30pm)
Local talent will entertain the masses on the grounds of the Community Centre which includes “Osgoode Has Talent”presented by the Gallaghers.
The Day’s festivities will conclude with a spectacular fireworks display!!!
